Kim Saunders, MSN/ED, RN, CWON®, CFCN, is a co-owner of WOC Consulting, LLC. Kim has 19 years as a wound, ostomy, and continence expert in home health, acute care, hospice, and outpatient settings. Kim consults for patients related to wounds, ostomy, and incontinence-associated dermatitis. Her experience includes healthcare system-projects related to bed, stretcher, and wheelchair surfaces as well as system processes for skin and wound issues.

The combination of business owner, leadership, role creation, and bedside consultation brings a unique approach to her workshops. Her wound care experience goes beyond the patient and includes cost-efficient processes and reimbursement expertise. Kim is an active member of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society™, and the Advanced Wound Care Society. She is an experienced speaker, presenting fun, fast-paced programs on a variety of wound care topics.

M. Dolores Farrer, DPM, MBA, CWS, is a surgically trained podiatrist involved in lower extremity wound care for over 23 years. She is board certified by the American Board of Wound Management for over 13 years. For the past 8 years, Dr. Farrer has worked at the DORN VA Hospital in Columbia, SC providing our nation’s heroes with a comprehensive multi-specialty wound care program that has resulted in above average healing rates and decreased amputation rates. She is also The Primary Investigator involved in several research projects on new technologies in wound care products.

Dr. Farrer has experience in private practice, hospital out-patient wound clinics, and nursing homes. She has spoken nationally and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience as a wound care expert in an interactive and energetic fashion that will keep you engaged. She is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and obtained her MBA in her home town of New Orleans, LA.

Heidi Huddleston Cross is currently a Nurse Practitioner in wound and ostomy care at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and as a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN). Heidi has extensive experience in outpatient wound care, and serves as a consultant for long-term care facilities.

Heidi is a member of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society™, and traveled to Russia with the WOCN as part of the People to People Ambassador program. She is and has been a participant or chair of multiple national committees related to wound and ostomy care, including chair of the WOCN Certification Board exam committee, and the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel guidelines committee. She is active with the United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA), having spoken at regional and national conferences. In 2008, she received the UOAA Ostomy Nurse of the Year award and, in 2011, the Convatec Great Comebacks Nurse of the Year award. She is published in the Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing, as well as in the Journal of Wound Technology, and has done legal case review as an expert witness in wound care.

Heidi is a sought-after speaker, and is passionate about wound and ostomy care. She loves to teach healthcare professionals with the goal of bringing knowledge about this topic to a new level, incorporating evidence-based practice. In this small way, Heidi hopes to improve care for wound and ostomy patients nationwide.
