SHANE MALECHA, PT, DPT, MS, CSCS

Shane Malecha maintains a current clinical practice for Aegis Therapies and has assisted many degenerative joint patients to accomplish their rehabilitation goals. Past professional experiences include insights gained working in inpatient, rehabilitation, home health and orthopedic/sports medicine clinic settings. Through these roles, he has assumed both staff clinician and director responsibilities. Dr. Malecha also contributes his time to the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy as a reviewer and the American Physical Therapy Association's Advisory Panel of Education. He graduated from Massachusetts General Hospital's Institute of Health Professions with a doctoral degree, received his Master's Degree in Science from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and a B.A. in Biology/Pre-Medicine from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. Additionally, Dr. Malecha is certified by the NSCA as a strength and conditioning specialist. As a sought-after presenter, he enjoys sharing his knowledge with interdisciplinary audiences around the country.

TERRY L. RZEPKOWSKI, DPT

Dr. Terry L. Rzepkowski is a doctorally prepared licensed physical therapist with specialization in orthopedic physical therapy. Throughout his 34-year career, he has specialized in orthopedics, specifically: Total Joint Replacement Surgery, Sports Medicine, and Musculoskeletal out-patient rehab as an independent private practitioner. Terry has worked on post-operative orthopedic units, serving as an acute care staff therapist and trauma traction specialist.

In Terry's current role as Total Joint Replacement team specialist in Orthopedics at a Homecare agency in Tampa, Florida, his practice provides the platform for staying abreast of the latest techniques and protocols utilized in total joint care rehab. In addition to his years of experienced orthopedic rehab, Terry also works as an associate professor of foundational anatomy for OTD and DPT students and has served 8 years as the Program Director of a PTA program. His expertise has also been sought nationally by professional audiences, focusing on a variety of orthopedic-related topics.
