About Author

Sasha Stephens is a British author and internationally-renowned sleep therapist. She studied philosophy at the University of Hertfordshire where she first began having issues sleeping. She is the author of three bestselling books on sleep, including The Effortless Sleep Method – a book that has become something of a classic in the insomnia world. Her books have sold over 100,000 copies and have been translated into many languages.  Sasha has written many articles on sleep and been featured in publications such as The Guardian, Tesco Magazine, The Sunday Independent and Healthy Aging.

She is an ex-chronic insomniac, who suffered fifteen years with crippling insomnia before overcoming it completely using natural methods. This experience left her with an acute understanding of the strange and nuanced psychology of sleep problems. She considers herself to be a bit of a genius when it comes to understanding insomnia!

Sasha is opposed to the prescribing of sedative sleeping pills for insomnia, and her entirely natural approach to treating insomnia focuses on behavioural and cognitive changes, transforming the way a sufferer acts and thinks around sleep.
