Jeff Strickler

Dr. Jeff Strickler, DHA, MA, RN, NE-BC, has over 25 years of experience in emergency, trauma, and transport nursing. He is a seasoned leader having also held administrative positions in Cardiology, Inpatient Surgery, Perioperative, and Ambulatory Services. Currently, Jeff holds the position of Associate Vice President with UNC Health Care, where he has overall administrative responsibility for planning and operations at the Hillsborough facility.

Dr. Strickler received his BSN from East Tennessee State University, his MA in Organizational Management from Tusculum College and his doctorate in Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. He currently serves as adjunct faculty for The University of North Carolina School of Nursing and UNC Gilling's School of Global Public Health where he teaches a hospital operations course for graduate students. Jeff also teaches the Health Insurance and Managed Care course at the University of Mount Olive. Additionally, he is a previous state president for the Emergency Nursing Association (ENA), chair of the Leadership Conference for the Society of Trauma Nursing (STN), as well as previous appointment to the STN national board of directors, and currently serves on the editorial board of Nursing magazine.
