Sean G. Smith has experience in both emergency care and critical care. He has written neo-natal/pediatric pharmacology CE exams for the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, as well as writing for Mosby clinical updates. He has practiced and taught critical/emergency care and pre-hospital emergency medical services for over 12 years. Career highlights include research in molecular endocrinology, serving in the US Navy, a wide variety of ICUs, flight nursing, and medical missions, as well as offering medical support to NASA. Sean lectures at the national level and has extensive text review/exam writing/contributing author credits. He holds multiple advanced specialty certifications in critical care, emergency, and flight nursing, as well as cardiac medicine, and neonatal/pediatric critical care transport.

Sean is a dedicated and respected educator serving as an official Instructor for Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS-RF), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS-RF), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS-RF), Tactical Combat Casualty Course (TCCC), Geriatric Education for Emergency Medical Services (GEMS), Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS), and Pediatric Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (PFCCS-IC).

BONITA GORDON, MSN, RN, APRN-BC, CNRN

Bonita Gordon practiced nursing close to 30 years, focusing primarily in the areas of neuroscience and acute care nursing. Bonita worked as a staff educator on the neuroscience/orthopedic/trauma, rehabilitation and medical/surgical units, where she presented lectures on acute and critical care processes. Bonita's expertise in neuroscience disease processes includes knowledge acquired during her work as a neuroscience critical care nurse and as a clinical nurse specialist in neurosurgery and neurology. After completing her post-master's certification as an adult nurse practitioner at St. Louis University, Bonita continued to hone her skills in her practice at a university's neuroscience center.

Bonita has presented extensively on neuroscience diseases, diabetes and acute care. She is an active member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN), the American College of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau. Bonita serves as a national committee member for the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals including Journal of Neuroscience Nursing, Journal of Oncology Nursing, and Journal of Nursing Quality Care and developed content on the spine and spinal problems for the AANN certification review course.
